Long awaited

Today was my first weaving lesson, or at least that's what I thought.  I had absolutely no idea just how much preparation is needed to actually start weaving.  It's a black art!
It's also a decision making process.  The very first thing we had to decide was which type of biscuit to have with the tea!  That was easy - Ginger.  Then there was the question of the colour of the yarn to use and there were so many yummy colours..., but got there too.
After that, surely, it must be on to weaving.  No?  No, now comes the pattern.  What do you want the weaving to look like?  This was pretty tricky because I hadn't a clue what it could look like.  Luckily, Marjorie, the teacher, helped out with that.
After that came wrapping the warp (at least I think it did as I'm not too good with the technical terms yet!) which seemed simple enough, except there's nothing simple about that either, especially if the pegs fall out just as you're nearly finished with it and have to start again.  Second time round it was perfect and it could be tied up and now I have to wait for next week's lesson to put it all on the loom!
Surely then, surely, it must be time to weave??!
It was a lot of fun and the teacher is absolutely brilliant so I am looking forward to the next session.

Man muss viele Entscheidungen treffen.
Angus helped too!!  Isn't he cute?
